Where is the Wienfluss?

A walk along the hidden Vienna River. Discussing history, urban planning and controversy. As a JanesWalk we’ll encourage you to share your thoughts (especially on the controversies!) with the group as we walk from stop to stop. The name of this walk is taken from the song “Wo ist der Wienfluss?” by Vienna musician Willi Landl.

Starting at the Wienfluss Portal (U-4 Stadtpark station – Johannesgasse Exit).

Then we’ll ride the U-4 to Karlsplatz (don’t forget to bring a valid WienerLinien ticket!).

U-Bahn Station – Kärntentorpassage portal.

The Elizabeth Bridge.

Österreichisches Verkehrsbüro.

Naschmarkt

Wienzeile Freeway
